Dr. Patrick Arbore, Director & Founder
Center for Elderly Suicide Prevention
Dr. Arbore is the founder and Director of the Center for Elderly Suicide Prevention and Grief Related Services (CESP). He has published extensively on the topic of treating elders for depression and suicide risk and his work has appeared in publications of the American Society on Aging and the Hospice Foundation of America. In 1998, Dr. Arbore received both the American Society on Aging award and the Ebe M. Bassi Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Education and Prevention of Elderly Suicide. Dr. Arbore completed his Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco in 1995.
Dr. Doris Bersing, Executive Director
Pacific Institute
Dr. Bersing received her doctorate from L'Universite de Toulouse-Mirail in France. As a clinical psychologist, she has dedicated 27 years to teaching and providing clinical care for women. Doris is a faculty member in several San Francisco Bay Area graduate schools. She also serves as the Executive Director for The Pacific Institute, a non-profit corporation founded to promote individual and community wellness while assisting elders to live meaningful lives.
