We live in a society where youth is revered and where popular media often portrays older adults as stereotypes and caricatures. Through various means we are taught certain myths about what it is to be an older member in society. This show debunked some of the myths and reviewed some of the realities we should be thinking about as we age.

Dr. Cheryl Phillips, Chief Medical Officer
On Lok Lifeways
Dr. Phillips has served as Chief Medical Officer for Sutter Select
and Medical Director, Chronic Disease Management, for the Sutter
Health System. She is a Fellow of the American Geriatrics Society.
Her wealth of experience includes serving on the California Commission
on Aging, having been a delegate to the White House Conference on
Aging and spending time as a primary Care Public Policy Fellow at
the U.S. Department of Heath and Human Services.
Dr. Anna Chang, Assistant Professor of
Geriatric Medicine
UCSF
Dr. Chang's serves as the Medical Director of the Nursing Home Care
Unit (NHCU), San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center (SFVAMC).
She cares for veterans with post acute, rehabilitation, psychiatric,
long term care, and end of life needs.
